Hey! We’re Siobhan and Bronwyn, the owners of Zufreeden – our cosy gluten-free café and bakery in the heart of Zurich.
Our mission? To make more gluten-free treats accessible and share delicious, lovingly baked goodies that bring joy.
We offer a wide selection of Swiss breads, as well as sweet and savoury baked goods inspired by both Swiss and North American traditions. We also serve a delicious breakfast menu every morning and a lively brunch service on Sundays.

Kitchen & Bakery Assistant (40–50%)
Immediately (Nov 2026)
📍 Weinbergstrasse 157, 8006 Zurich (Schaffhauserplatz Areal)
Position Details:

Monday & Tuesday: 08:00–13:30 (possibly 1–2 hours longer)

Sunday: 08:00–15:00
-
Workload: 40–50%

Start date: Immediately (November 2026)
We appreciate flexibility and the ability to occasionally cover earlier shifts, starting as early as 06:00 when needed (eg covering staff on annual leave).
Your Responsibilities:

Preparing and organising the café kitchen: making sandwich fillings, preparing sandwiches, assembling and packaging products, cutting desserts and displaying products

Preparing and packaging customer pre-orders

Assisting with stock and inventory management

Supporting our baker, e.g. shaping dough, decorating and cleaning

Occasionally baking bread or desserts independently

Preparing dishes from our breakfast and brunch menu
What We're Looking For:

Valid Swiss B or C residence permit, or Swiss passport

Fluent English (C1); German skills are a plus
-
A friendly, reliable and independent working style
-
Enjoyment of working hands-on as part of a small team
A plus, but not essential: Experience in a professional kitchen, baking experience, and familiarity with preparing simple breakfast dishes such as scrambled, fried or poached eggs.
