Zufreeden is a cozy gluten-free cafe-bakery, run by two Canadian sisters whose goal is to expand the accessibility of gluten-free products in Zurich, and spread happiness with their tasty goods baked from the heart. Products include a variety of Swiss and North American breads, savory dishes, and desserts. 

Baker or confectioner (certified efz / eba) 80 - 100%

What you bring:
 

  • Completed vocational training as a baker or pastry chef (EFZ or EBA)

  • Experience in baking production, ideally also with gluten-free products (not a must)

  • Enjoy working independently – you can run the bakery on your own if needed

  • Interest in being part of a small, growing team

  • Open to flexible working hours and early shifts (with an early end to the workday)

  • Open-mindedness to creative ideas and new recipes

  • Intermediate German and English skills would be an advantage

What we are looking for:
 

  • Appropriate work permit for Switzerland (B or C permit or citizenship)

  • Fluent German language skills (minimum B2), ideally also an understanding of Swiss German. English language skills are an advantage

  • Ideally experience in the catering industry, but not essential

  • Friendly manner and willingness to work both independently and in a small team

  • Flexibility and desire to grow with us at our new location (move in mid-September 2025)

  • Ideally, experience in preparing simple dishes such as scrambled eggs, fried eggs or poached eggs

Your tasks:

 

  • Preparing various foods such as sandwiches and other savoury products, cutting desserts, displaying food for service

  • Simple cooking tasks (e.g. using a panini grill, oven or waffle iron), ideally in the near future also simple cooking tasks such as preparing eggs for brunch

  • Serving customers food and drinks

  • Advising customers of ordering options, allergens, apero, or other enquiries

  • Cleaning tasks in the service area (wiping tables, using the dishwasher, etc.)
